Hey guys, whats up? The second NEOC event of the year took place @ the Cumberland County Fairgrounds. One of the great things about this race is that there was plenty of parking and very spectator friendly, oh yeah...dont forget the food! I think I had everything they had to offer just for dinner Saturday night!! I had chicken, ribs, pizza, steak on a stick( never heard of that before!! ), and jack + jill ice cream to top it off. I walked the track Saturday night and I was prepared to have a blast! Lots of fast straight-aways, some woods and plenty of spectators to cheer you on! The NEOC crew threw in some EndouroX which challenged the whole field. Set with logs, balance beams, and a couple table-tops it really made the track complete! I was pumped to get out on that track! As usual I was nervous on the start, but was fine after that flag waved. We were sent into some changes that were made over night from the pee-wee race. We did not go through the scoring on the right after the start which was a plus+ because it made the race become more spread out. Lap #1 for me was the hardest because it took me a lap to get used to the little traction out in the grass section. Also it was challenging because I didnt know what way the jumps were gonna through me. I was a bit surprised though because the logs on the endourocross section was a lot easier than I thought they were going to be. The balance beams were a bit trickier and got more slippery as the race progressed. My favorite part though was definitley the big half- mile turn. It was so aweome and made you feel like Chris Carr even if you werent going fast or even sliding! It was a fun race and I had a good time and hope that race will be on the schedule next year. I also heard that there might be another race there this year! If so I cant wait to go back. I really enjoy the NEOC events because of more seat time, some new tracks, a great set-up and a good time. Im looking forward to the next race @ Irish Valley because I enjoyed that track last year. From what I remember there was a bit of everthing, some rocks, mud, field sections, and a few jmps! I cant wait to see whats there this year. See you there!
