Check out TD Photo Imaging CCFG photos of everyone The Daily Journal put us on the Front Page & a photo gallery on-line! OMG - WOW - Off The Hook Incredible! 600 Strong. Record turn out across the board. Never in a millions years did we ever think that this race would explode, but it did, and the blast was stronger then any Nor'east winds before. We can not express how honored we are that you came out to support us and be part of this event. This is a very special place because of its roots and because of you it will continue to grow. The weather was perfect for riding. Just enough rain saturday night to keep the dust at bay but not make it a quagmire nightmare. The Chill kept the riders cool and us bundled up. The course consisted of EnduroX, Grass Track, Woods, MotoX, Whoops and from saturday morning til sunday afternoon nor'east storm waves roared over the coure. Texas Road House & Big Johns Pizza filled everyones bellies with good grub. Crazy Ted made sure everyone had what they needed to get their bikes ready. Racers Edge (Alan Jessat) was in the pits helpin out everyone that needed it. Riders Choice (Pooh & John) set up shop with all the gear needed to race. TD Photo Imaging got awesome pictures of every single rider. Tim Dennis is Da Man (and so is his Gal)! Saturday Nights band "The Bryers" rocked the red barn and kept us jammin' all evening! Saturdays events started out with something new. NEOC Mountain Bike Challenge 10am. We did not know what to expect but what we got was awesome. 5 Riders turned out and we couldn't have been more impressed then if 50 turned out. They showed us how real & serious they are about riding. They have planted the seed for us with high quality miracle grow! 1pm the Tikes on Bikes went to the front lines in force. 18 tikes showed more courage, determination and pride then a trained army. If that sight didn't warm your heart and bring a tear to your eye, well, you've got issues! 3pm Our PeeWees poured onto the starting lines. 83 throttle junkies to be exact. It was so wonderful seeing so many of our favorite little faces and meeting so many new ones. 7-9 65 class was the 1st race off for the 2nd NEOC season. We had a hot shoe from North Carolina come all the way up here to show us his stuff. #219 Anthony Giglio rode the wave like a pro. Our new Thumper class (4 stk) was owned by our very own hot shoe #90 Malcom "High Flyer" Hill. He showed just why the Thumper class was created. He also took 2nd overall. 4-8 50 & 9th overall was taken by Brandon Gahm like a seasoned rider. 10-12 el always proves that kids are hungry for the challenge no matter what level rider they are. 1st place #388 Cody "Rock Star" Reeves ran a great race. 2nd & 3rd place battled right to the flag #197 Nick Layton and then #250 Kyle Riggins on his back tire. We are very excited about our winner of the 4-9 el class. #618 Courtney Abrams proved she is ready for the competition. 4-8 OI was a record turn out, never before have we had that many oil injected bikes on the line. They are the youngest of our racers and by the looks of the class I would say we are going to be amazed in the next few years by what these kids do. The best thing about the Peewee division is that it's all new to them and we get to watch them reach for their dreams & grow into great riders that just blow us away..."300 Kyle "the Bomber" McDonal started out in the EL class just a few years back and look at what he has accomplished with his dream. Infinity is where the stars twinkle so let them reach as far as they want and you'll be amazed at the light they bring back. 5pm the Pit bikes gear up and went out to put on a show. The pit bikes are so much fun to watch. We had 44 Adult Pit bikers hot doggin' for us and the biggest hot dog of all was 12 Pointer #504 Tanner "Wildman" Thomas. He was stylin' over all the jumps and sweepin' the burms. Ruttin' Bucks were 19 deep and the coolest cats out there. 1st place is a newly AA Youth rider that also just a few years ago was a beginner, he never quit and he never said can't, he is #49 Mikey McGee a champion of the heart. The Young Bucks are always polishing their horns to be stronger for the challenge. 1st place shined his horns up and won the challenge #393 Factory Phil Morshead. Big Slam Daddy had a new name take the win #128 Joseph Crist but not with out #16 Mike Berghelz chewin' some knobby off his back tire. The Doe class had 1 rider but this one rider happens to be the sister of the High Flyer and she is being trained by the ELW Champion so making her debut with a 1st place is #629 Samantha Hill. Come on girls get out there and run the Doe pit bike class and have some fun. The Youth Pit Bikers were 21 deep with Spike Bucks holding 17 of them. Taking his 2nd 1st place of the day #90 Malcom "High Flyer" Hill was lovin the course. Button Bucks had a new name on the winners list #18 Brian McAlinney. The Fawns were another solo show #287 "The Cherokee Kid " Emilee Shaw says "Come on out girls and dice it up with me, lets have some fun." Saturday night ended with The Bryers Band rockin us out, hangin with great friends and falling asleep to sound of rain drops on the roof. Sunday morning was damp, chilly and full of excitement. 7am Sign ups started and boy were we swamped. Pre-registration sure looks better and better all the time. We can't say enough about the dedicated and professional crew we have for our registration department, so please, when you are signing up respect them and know that they are there 100% for you to have an easy sign up and a great race. 8:30am Our amazing youth came to the line like a car freight train 113 cars long. AA Youth is 12 strong this year and was first to blast off when the flag dropped. 1st was taken by #300 Kyle "the Bomber" Mcdonal but he had some trouble for a while holding off 2nd place #95 Chase Rusden our youth field reporter. 12-15 100 was lock stock and barrel owned by #413 Anthony Venturo. 14-15 85 1st place #91 Michael Ward is a great kid from way back in the day and we are glad to see his name on our roster. 12-13 85 1st place is a past EL Champion and we couldn't be prouder of #901 "Trucker" Danny Gandy. 10-11 85 winner was last years 10-11 65 Champion and from the look in his eyes #109 Thorn "Slappy" Devlin is going for the gold this year too! 13-15 150 1st place winner took a commanding lead right from jump street #694 Julian Harris, hope to see you at all the races this year kiddo, you are great rider. 10-11 65 1st place #122 Dillan Abrams rode strong and did good holding off 2nd place #910 River "the Fly" Sewell. 10-12 125 Winner we have watched pay his dues over the years and we are proud to tell you that #289 Kevin "Army" Adams took a well earned win! The ELW had 13 ladies sitting and waiting to chop that throttle and I hope it is a peak into how the rest of the year will be for this class. #544 Brianna Barnhardt took the win with total pride and grace of a lady racer. We can't wait to see what happens in this class. 11am C-Split had 149 monster bikes that made the ground rumble and your bones shake when they all took off and covered the course. The top 3 overall riders were from the new 4 stroke class and they made sure to let us know they are here to stay. #76 Joe Potter, #172 Carmen Simonetti & #267 Brian Rowan. 4th overall was a C Heavy guy #910 Darren Huff. No doubt that the 4 strokes ruled the day in this division. On the first lap the course look like a giant anaconda serpentining through the course looking for its prey. Absolute incredible, you could actually feel the power of the bikes go right up through your feet. 1:30pm the Main Event took center stage until, of course, The "Git-R-Done" girl Miss Tara McGaha showed up. Anyone can have a 30 second girl but there is only one git-r-done girl and they broke the mold with her. Wow what a double A line we had show up. We thank all of you 19 super fast AA racers for coming to ride the first Nor'east wave of the year. 1st Overall AA Jerod "IRON MAN" Stoner was unstoppable. He was the original kid back in the day that inspired the iron man award for us.
